Legal & General Reinsurance Team Up with the Bermuda National Trust

Earlier this month, our team joined forces with the Bermuda National Trust (BNT) to create a positive impact on our beautiful island!

As part of Legal & General’s collective efforts to celebrate International #EarthDay, we donated funds to support BNT’s crucial environmental work and also took part in a team building day at Spittal Pond Nature Reserve.

As Bermuda’s most extensive nature reserve, Spittal Pond is a sanctuary of biodiversity, home to unique saltwater marshes and lush coastal forests. During our time there, we removed invasive species, planted native trees and shrubs, and cleared away litter, while also learning about this invaluable ecosystem.

"It was amazing to get all the trees shrubs and ground covers cared for, mulched and ready for the summer heat. The Legal & General Reinsurance team were able to plant a small forest and contribute to the larger Spittal Pond pollution abatement project. We can’t do the work we do without the support of volunteers. Teams like Legal & General Reinsurance make the preservation and protection of Bermuda’s natural and cultural heritage possible."
